The problem [00:25] Solo and small therapy practices were losing prospective clients to friction: an anxious searcher hitting a half-finished website, a cold multi-field intake form, and a 24-48 hour response lag caused roughly seven in ten visitors to abandon before finishing, costing practices about $1,800 in lifetime value per lost lead. Therapists on the other side struggled to track which intake forms had gone out, whether copays had cleared, how many slots remained open, and what was discussed in prior sessions, leaving billing codes and session notes perpetually unfinished. What they built [03:30] He built a small fleet of AI agents that run the business layer of a therapy practice on autopilot, with a single client-facing chat widget named Bowie that answers insurance and intake questions, confirms details rather than assuming them, and declines to answer clinical questions by design. Behind Bowie, an AI assistant called Thera reports on practice activity in natural language and stays read-only, while other agents in the fleet handle calendar booking, auto-filled client documents drafted from the therapist's own templates, and billing. The system deliberately keeps clinical/PHI content in separate systems (e.g., Healthie/EHR) so the business layer he owns is HIPAA-ready by design. What happened [06:25] In five weeks he shipped a live, installable chat widget; in-chat calendar booking; per-client autofilled documents; a working Stripe payment/copay flow; and Thera, an AI assistant answering live practice-data questions. The system passed 8/8 baseline redirect tests, fixed 7/8 boundary-paraphrase cases, and enforces crisis-language escalation to 911/988, following three days of adversarial testing (12+ test cases, three risks found and closed) before any product code was written. The ask [07:40] He's looking to join a team that can ship and grow a live AI product quickly, is recruiting therapy practices for a limited pilot at a reduced rate in exchange for roadmap feedback, and is seeking introductions to contacts at Headspace, Calm, Lyra, Headway, or Alma.
